How should I prepare for a session?
- Sessions are 1 hour in length.
- We will be outside for sessions and our facility is on a horse farm so dress appropriately.
- Our sessions will be non-riding.
- Closed-toed shoes are required. Sturdy, comfortable shoes that you would wear hiking are recommended.
- Sunscreen and fly-spray are recommended as the season warrants.
- No food is allowed in sessions.
- Bring a drink if you like.
- No necklaces, bracelets, or dangly jewelry. Horse can be very curious about jewelry and investigate with their mouths.
- If you have long hair, I highly recommend tying it back so that it will not limit your field of vision.
- Cell phones are best left in the car so you can focus on your horse.
- You are welcome to take pictures with your therapy horse at the end of session.
